Dental Care
Dental disease is one of the most overlooked health issues in dogs and cats — and one of the most common. Poor oral health can affect the heart, kidneys, and overall quality of life. At Bluewater Animal Health Center, we invest in dental disease prevention and have updated our equipment to give your pet’s mouth the attention it deserves, including digital dental X-rays for a more complete picture.
1
Oral Exam
We evaluate your pet’s teeth, gums, and mouth for signs of disease, buildup, or structural concerns.
2
Digital Dental X-Rays
Our updated X-ray equipment reveals what a visual exam misses — root problems, bone loss, and hidden decay.
3
Professional Cleaning & Extractions
We remove plaque and tartar buildup and perform extractions when a tooth cannot be saved.
4
At-Home Prevention Plan
We send you home with a clear plan — brushing guidance, dental chews, and a schedule to keep disease from returning.
Urgent Care
We are not a 24-hour emergency center, but we do see pets who need prompt attention during regular business hours. If your pet is showing signs of sudden illness, injury, an allergic reaction, or heat stroke, call us right away. We will do our best to get them seen as quickly as possible so the right care is not delayed.
Sudden Illness

A real risk in South Florida — excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or collapse in the heat.
Poison Ingestion
If your pet has eaten something toxic, call us immediately — time matters with ingestion cases.
